Future-Retro 777 vs. Revolution

I used to own an FR-777 and sold it a few years ago. I'd kind of like to get another one again, but that's not too likely. I haven't seen any for sale used too often. I'm wondering how similar the Revolution is compared to the 777. Does anyone have an experience using these two synths? Any other rec...

I'd have to say it's so cheap because, for one, there's not much to it. There's a 4x4 audio interface, software and a couple records and CDs. The record technology is the same as Ms. Pinky, so they didn't have to invest in developing their own record tracking. They also save money by building a plas...

I just bought Torq. I've only had it about a week, so I can only give my initial impressions. I also can't compare it since I haven't used any of the other options. I'm running it on a 1.5GHz G4 Powerbook which is about minimum spec. It seems to run well, though it does seem to be a bit slow when sw...

Originally I was just using 16 steps. Now I'm mostly using 32. I'll then usually take that pattern, copy it and make slight variations, then chain those together.

You could also look around for used 1210s. They're built well so they tend to hold up over time. I've never actually bought a new 1200 before. You can usually find a used 1200 in the US for about $300-350. If you can find a deal like that you can really stay within budget and still get a nice mixer.

Here's a bit of info from Stephen's webpage: http://www.hawking.org.uk/disable/dindex.html "...a computer expert in California, called Walt Woltosz, heard of my plight. He sent me a computer program he had written, called Equalizer. This allowed me to select words from a series of menus on the ...
