From my research it looks like the compressor effect in Maschine has no side chain input and so cant do Kick based ducking of synths etc. Apparently it is a much requested feature but hey haven't gotten around to implementing it yet.

Some built in synthesis capabilities would be nice.

you are correct sir!

built in synth capabilities would be nice too,
but i think the idea is NI has that covered with all their other software.
even still i wouldnt be completely surprised to see if they did implement it into the maschine at some point.

It would be very cool if they were to implement some Machinedrum style drum synthesis into the next update. It really would make maschine a no brainer for minimal and techno.

To me there's already so much you can do with sample mangling, that it would be almost an overkill to add drum synthesis on top of it...
I suppose you could have it drive d16 Drumazon or Nepheton, or whichever drum synthesis vst you choose ad control it all from the hardware interface. Would need a bit of setting up, but it shouldn't be that complicated imo, Might try it out myself... :)

Is there anyway to recover your password for the NI Beta Site?

Got the email saying I can download the public beta, but my email/password isn't working - but don't see any "forgot password" option.

This thread is making me want to bust out the Maschine again. Really enjoyed fiddling with it the first while that I had it, but I've barely touched it the past month or so.
