Check out the MFB-503. I didn´t try it myself but some people told me it has a quite nice analog drum sound.

indeed. and the vermona dmk3 is good and some nice sounds on the korg emx too. prices range between 300-900. choose wisely. I suggest going to youtube and listening to some videos. people post themselves doing sh!t on these machines all the time and you can figure out what has the sound you want.

Do you know anything more about this, sounds interesting? :)

I'm a little confused as the 808 didn't have midi though.
