I have nothing but problems with maudio.

The RME is definetly the best sh!t.

I'm running some ECHO stuff, used the old GINA 24 and the indigo IO on the laptop. Too me they have been solid. but i'm actually thinking of upgrading to something with a little more beef.

Thanks Torque. The CS80v seems to have the closest sound. Its quite expensive CPU wise though... but I love all the little tweaks you can make. Its quite a machine. I think its the length of the saws that were different from synth to synth. The subtractor sawtooths seem to be a little bit longer tha...

Re: ableton!! Whats wrong with it.

Right... so you use cubase for this? or just mix down in Ableton by recording a sample l...

I've recently gave up on reason and moved to live. I'm in the process of moving some of my rns files into live by exporting midi. But I feel like I'm missing out on the subtractor sound. Yeh I know there are probably better synths than the subtractor but its got a unique sound that I've been accusto...

q & a sessions. we have enough accomplished artists on this forum that this might be a very relavent thing to have. i am a bit timid to have a faq entirely geared towards minimal music. i think that whatever it is that is put up should have a more objective mindset. i mean it's not like minimal...

I would say that the work flow is just quite different on laptop+mpd vs mpc. On the MPC everything is really built around using those sample pads in a live format. All the controls for recording and deleting midi information is built in quite differently. Its quite fun actually, there isn't any visu...
