an alternative to compensate for bass is to get a sub. I have four 6.5 inch monitors and I noticed that even with that I can't properly gage my bass so I built myself a behemoth 14x14x36 inch bandpass enclosure for a 12 inch sub..... What's nice about such an enclosure is that in a place like a room...

Re: I find this argument somewhat amusing

I find this argument and subtle disrespect over live acts vs. the Dj in the realm of techno somewhat amusing. In the 1930's when the first double turntable was invented and dance halls began hiring DJ's to play there was backlash from an association of bands (somewhat akin to the RIAA today) that l...

Try looking into synthmaker, it's a little bit easier on the brain yet still has a lot of potential. Especially in making custom little midi widgets. It's good stuff, crashes periodically but you'll learn to work around it. Oh ya also very reasonably priced and you can get a free demo :) http://synt...

not to pick sides or sound bitchy myself, I'm a nice guy. But I totally understand where that comment comes from. All that info IS in the manual. You should really go through the manual and read it cover to cover, it's a v ery very good manual and will teach you a lot. You will exponentially learn a...

I will HIGHLY recommend looking into a korg microKONTROL or KONTROL49. They have a magnificent amount of midi possibilities. It's got 9 screens which you can customize, 9 sliders, 9 encoders, 16 pads and a joystick. But it gets better, it has 12 scenes so you can have all the controls change in ever...

ok here's some things to consider. Turning off services will not significantly increase performance.... neither will disabling visual themes.... What you are experiencing is a large amount of samples that the computer has to process. First of all depending on how much ram you've got, they will eithe...

it's not that i dont enjoy a DJing performance and that it doesnt have something special to offer, but when i hear a quality artist perform his own music i think i generally appreciate it more, so i tend to lean in that direction when booking artists/DJs i've been to some minimal DJ nights where it...
