my name is michael, i was born in the german-speaking region of belgium in '78 and I've been living in brussels for 3 years now.
in my childhood i went to a music school to learn to play the trumpet. i get acquainted with electronic music especially house and new beat in '90s as an influence of my older brother, dj mandrax / ana l intrudr and his friends who went out to clubs like boccaccio and la rocca during this period. i only began buying records in '97 (because i spent all my money on parties, fuel, etc. ) and discovered minimal music through the studio 1 collection of a friend. i liked it but didn't buy this type of music because at that time i was more into ur, rephlex, warp stuff , etc ...since 2000 i've been buying "minimal" records but also still lots of other "styles" of music. i've been organising parties, concerts since '98 first with klangforschungost, then i was involved in the programming of the electronic part of the alive festival from '99 until '02 and at present i'm part of meakusma and hoerbar in brussels and eupen.
i've been surfing on this site for a while and, wow, never seen such an international forum with so many music lovers ! really nice project !
