What's your first purchase?

Apart from the computer, the audio/MIDI interface, the speakers and the midi keyboard, what has been your first hardware or what else that you've bought for your studio and why?

My first hardware was a Vermona DRM-1.
why? because its a drum machine and its analogue.
as stupid the reasons sound now, its the best investment i made.

the first hardware I got was a Vermona drm1 mk3 and a DSI Tetra

more than 10 year ago I got thinks too but with my dad's money. (tube amp, mixers, boss gfx700, tr 550, yamaha qy sequencer.. etc)
