anyone have this problem?

whenever i wanna watch windows media content in firefox, it tells me i dont have the plugin... but when i try to click where it says " install missing plugin " it sends me to the page to get windows media player 10, which i already have....

someone help me out? its really annoying, i have no interest in using only internet explorer.

erm... have you got VLC player... if you get that it'll play pretty much anything and from my experience it works OK with firefox... mind you this was all on a mac too...

I wish I could help you out with this one. I really only use Linux and OS X, so I don't have much experience with this. I always just save Windows Media files and use mplayer or VLC to view them.

ok thanx anyways it was just cuz the problem is for media files that are in web browser already u know... sites like www.thatvideosite.com for example sometimesd its just convenient to have the video open in ur window, and not have to save and open off ur computer.
