The design would be simple, just the text "MADE IN INDIA" , like you might see on the side of a product. I was born in India but I've been living in the US since I was 1 years old. I've recently realized that sometimes I forget where I'm from and it's important to remember your culture and your background. I've been thinking about this for about 6 months now. It would be my first tattoo as well. So my questions to you are:
Do you think it's a cheesy design? On the one hand I thought it would be cool to have a mark that signifies me as a "product of India" But I could see on the other hand how it could come off as terribly gimmicky. I would love to get some more opinions.
My thoughts on location are either on the back behind the shoulder, on the upper arm near the shoulder, maybe on my inner forearm near the area behind the elbow, and I've considered the hip but I'm unsure if that's appropriate for dudes. Any other ideas or suggestions would be great as well.
Also, if you have any tattoos that you're super happy with and want to show off, go ahead and post pictures! I'm always looking for inspiration.
Thanks in advance!
