Lately I've been thinking of buying some kind of drum pad to play percussion to give a more live feeling to my productions.
This one rocks but it's insanely expensive:

This one doesn't look bad and the price is fair:

Any suggestion?

I have a Trigger Finger but I don't like it, I wouldn't recommend it, the sensibility is awful.
I'm actually also looking for something that can be played with sticks or your whole hands (not just fingers).
I found this one, though I'm not sure if it's good, has anyone tried one of these?

Here's a bunch of them:

i think you could replace the piezo with a force sensitive resistor(FSR) cause they are easier to use with velocity and arduino. At least thats what i read in a guide on making your shoes trigger drums.Daemonix wrote:you can do that with an arduino but its hard to do the velocity (correctly) and fast hits in sequence (1/16 ++).Android wrote:
edit: just checked out the malletkats, they use FSRs, so its probably a safe bet to use 'em(the FSRs, if your gonna DIY).

Uh + 1 on the trigger finger, it's just awful. I had it too, got rid of it.diego vega wrote:I have a Trigger Finger but I don't like it, I wouldn't recommend it, the sensibility is awful.
