10 Years of Cocoon Ibiza during the ADE
Take a look outside, it’s enough to make one despair. The summer of 2009 has ended. The very last outdoor festivals are being held, but we all know that the time has come to go back into the clubs. In the meanwhile, Evotions is preparing for one of the annual highlights…the Amsterdam Dance Event! For the fourth time in a row now, Cocoon is one of the ADE’s main events. This year it iss held on saturday the 24th of October. Place to be? The Powerzone, which is to be found at the Spaklerweg. Line-up? Outrageous and better than ever!
It’ll take a little time to get used to Cocoon being held in The Powerzone instead of The Sand. This change has come due to the fact that The Sand has no longer been granted a permit to have the amount of visitors necessary to realize this event. It turned out that The Powerzone is a well-chosen alternative. This has been tested on this year’s Queensday edition of Circoloco and passed the critical examination of the visitors without a spark of doubt! The one thing which wasn’t up to Cocoon’s standards, the sound, has been fixed! The Powerzone’s regular sound system will be replaced with a Funktion One system for the night!
Simply add up the following line-up consisting of Sven Väth (3 hour set), Karotte (3 hour set, thank you, wintertime!), the fine gentlemen of Extrawelt who will turn the club upside down for an hour, Markus Fix (one of this hottest producers at the moment) and we’ve almost got ourselves a picture perfect. It goes without saying that the theme, 10 years of Ibiza, will definitely boost the atmosphere! Reliable sources have been telling us that it’s heating up on this number one party destination, and we’d all love to relive this once more at the Amsterdam Dance Event!
You should be aware of the Dutch agency We Are E hosting the upper area with a selection of it’s finest DJs, just to complete the picture. This will be pure, Dutch pride in the upper area with DJs Daniel Sanchez, Rauwkost live, Loops live, Olivier Weiter and Joey Daniel.
Like every other year, Cocoon guarantees a visually spectacular night. This time the visuals will be done by the worthy gentlemen of Reach Visuals, who also take care of the Visuals in Ibiza!
Cocoon tickets are available now at www.evotions.nl and at all Free Record Shop stores. The prices have decreased a little, for just €32,50 you can be part of the night! For the real diehards we hold the possibility to sell combination tickets for Cocoon and Richie Hawtin’s MINUS night on Friday. These tickets are €60,00 each.
To close, there will be a Cocoon afterparty. From 07:00AM on, all the party people can continue at Studio 80. The line-up will remain secret for a little while!
