I'm busy with editing tracks.
looping, re-arranging, cutting out bad ugly parts....etc..
but how do you do it?
I use Peak for Mac, and i just cut/past selections and save the file and play it. Sometimes i re-arrange loops from a track in Ableton.
It's fun to do , and more fun to play.
How do you edit tracks?

The people that do more than just beatmatching is what is being talked about here... using headphones and matching tempo - obvious.
There are different "levels" of editing tracks... you can break it down into loops and use in ableton and/or cut it up into smaller sounds that can be rearranged in ableton, reason, etc. Some times you may just want to do some funky looping, which ableton would be easiest for.. a lot of CD players and Traktor 2.6 and above work with Final Scratc 2 and have decent looping features. If you are looking to do something more extensive, just use your waveform editor to extract loops and sounds from the track and save them for use in your production software where you can "remix" it using standard production techniques.
