I'm planning to spend some days in one of these cities by the first weeks of july. Did a search at RA but still nothing anounced. I'm booking the flight tomorrow so any advice by some locals or not, concerning the nightlife by this time of year would be well received.
Thank you anyway.
july: madrid vs. barcelona?
I like both those cities. Both have great nightlife and you'll never be bored.
For me, the key difference is that Barcelona (Catalonia) seems more cosmopolitan and fashionable; Madrid (Spain) is a bit more rough and raw. I think I prefer the latter - but I suppose it depends what's going on at the time of visit.

I prefer Madrid as a city.. Barcelona is cool in it's own way, but when you are in Madrid you feel this is the big capitol, it's Spain for real. But the main problem with going there in the summers is the heat, it's fucking awfull being in Madrid when the temperature reaches +40 and more. I have been there in a +46 degree heat and i was close to die i think. The only thing you can do it get up to the mountains to chill down. In Barcelona you still have the water!
