Free Kick Drums Sample Pack

Post by lcvl »

Hi all

My little contribution to the many discussions on this "touchy" topic :D.

About 50 kick drums, ranging from sampled/layered ones to synthesized ones.

Grab the sample pack for free here: http://www.leocavallo.bandcamp.com

Make some great music with them!

Thanks for taking the time to leave some feedback, man!
Really appreciated.

To create the sample pack I had at my disposal:
- TR-909 (only one sample in there is a pure 909 kick though).
- M-Base 01
- Machinedrum
- Clavia Nord Modular
- Clavia G2
- Access Virus C
- Sound Forge (just synthesis).

All the editing/layering/processing/mastering done in Reaper, with the help of two UAD-1 cards.

Have fun with them!

Vermona is a killer sounding drum machine!
Go for it if you can...

i'd download it, if:
1. there was an uncompressed version (why so many MP3 & compressed versions?), and
2. i wasn't forced to give an email address to automatically subscribe me to a newsletter....just to make me jump through hoops to unsubscribe.

Hey man,

First of all there's no "newsletter".

It's just me informing people about new tracks and free samples.

And the funny thing is that I haven't even done that yet, 'cause I'm too thick to figure out how to sort out all those email addresses I already have, so in the end I just announce the new stuff on a couple of boards (mnml.nl included, as you can see).

Regarding the compressed formats, that's what Bandcamp offers. As much as I'd like to see a straight .WAV option, I find dealing with FLAC files pretty painless.

But considering it's you, I can burn a CD with all the samples and bring it directly to your house on a beautiful silver plate... ;)

Take care...

"newsletter", 'email blast', 'mailing list'; no real difference, but apparently the exact word means a lot here.
my point was, offering something for "free" without a way to opt out of a email list is just...well, if i need to explain it, then never mind.

i've never dealt with/heard of Bandcamp before.
i don't use MP3s for production.
FLAC on a Mac is something i haven't had much luck with thus far....if you have a suggestion (player/converter/etc), i'm all ears.
