[Genesa001] Scalameriya - Sandstorm

Sandstorm arrived at Beatport & other shops and brought confusion, broken sounds, excellent, massive subs & serious background with it. Scalameriya signed the first release, which means that the machine from the future extremely endangers your sense for reality.
The whole release is heavy & apocalyptic, and yet again it brings nostalgia with it, dominated by stretched, balanced sound & full bass.
The first track,”Sandstorm”, which carries the name of the ep is ruled by “tubes” & “metal” sounds. The real paradox is in the unstoppable speed which is telling us of the quality of “process”. The formula of this track is strong rhythm base, deep & advanced ambient & few psychedelic sounds.
Ups! “Pyramides” eats you alive right away, attacks without any doubts & doesn’t let you get a single breath. It is angry & fearless, better watch out! It takes too long for it to move, it proudly stands against time. An extremely aggressive track, yet reduced, simple, without unnecessary sounds. After few breaks you think the track made you happy, but soon you realize “Pyramides” have one more secret for you. A melody starts, with electro synths and devastating break which brings you to your peak!
“Desertum” keeps your attention all the time. Layers & layers of sounds are keeping it concentrated. It is lazy, minimal & colorful. It puts you in different atmospheres, but not losing its core, brutal, but not aggressive. To this track, an argentinian guy had a word to say [Mekas- you should now him from igloo & recent release on the “Esperanza” compilation] Mekas’s rmx of “Desertum” isn’t lazy like the original. It’s clear, fast, going waaay ahead. You can feel the argentinian touch all the time so expect this track often on the dancefloor when the time is right for a dj to take his rhythm weapons out.
The last track is a rmx for “Pyramides”. The remixer is a 16 year old boy from Bern, Vanesty. You should now him for his excellent release on Autist! He brings a definitely more colorful version with “elegant” melodies. In the whole mechanical environment, it sounds a bit happier, interesting for dance. “A bit like a clown wit a rusty spoon between his bloody theets!”
The visual design is made by Ana Krishko [Anaquie]. Great Job!
Enjoy this release and watch out for the machinery form space which is arriving and wants to eat you!
