Hello,
I try to sample some good kicks for me work. I have used Drumazon to synthesize some based on 909 but I always get a "tik"(click, chick) with the attack of the kick. (i dont know the term but I think I want it more fat)
I have use compression on a single layered kick with no luck.. (maybe wrong compression)
Any tips?
PS: I can work on a mac that has drumazon, guru, nepheton apart from my logic.
thnx
Tasos
howto: kicks
Re: howto: kicks
sounds like your using to much compression. if it sounds like a 'tick' without compression find another kick. it's a lot easier and the results will be better.
"find another" you mean a sample? or with drumazon?
I thought that it is better to use 909-808 emulation to make the sound you like.
the filter/eq did some work. how about compression? (I read something about multi layered with hard comp. but I dont know match)
thnx a lot
(the good use of English is not my thing sorry)

use a parametric filter on your high end.
