Nord Rack 2 - many ppl here use them?

Post by tbag »

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone here uses the Nord Rack 2 and if so what are they like, I'm thinking of buying one as I can get it fairly cheap, alot of the producers im in to seem to use them so thats a good sign but any videos on youtube make them seem very trancey.

I (try) to produce house/techno thats deep, stabby, detroity etc etc

i dont have the 2 but ive got the nord lead, and the lead 3.
the basic archictecture is the same

i make techno / house.

a synth cant be trancey by itself.
i mostly use mine for percussion, sometimes deep chords.

if you can get it cheap you cant go wrong bro.
they are very good virtual analogue synths.

go for it mate !!!! :)

(everything on my myspace page features the nords, for all of the percussion sounds and most of the other sounds apart from the kick drum.
other synths used in lesser amounts on some tracks ; SH101's(bass, shakers) Andromeda, VirusB.)

here's a short clip of my nord rack 2:

it's the lead sound and also the atmospheric drone sound in the background.

I think it's amazing for deep chords. And they're pretty inexpensive most of the time too :)

as with any synth it's all in how you program it ;)

Out of curiosity, how much did you get it for and where?

Cheers.
