The new Paradigma reference, the number eleven in its every time wider catalogue, comes from Milan from
one of the Italian nightlife shakers, Luca Adami, known as Luca Dobbie. He plays together with The Electricalz,
his friends Vladi Sparapano and Jerónimo Gaiaschi. Luca, who signed in the last three years several
releases for labels such as Anomaline or Presslab, is the main character of this “Angels EP”, first digital
reference of our label.
Eclecticism is the common denominator of “City of Angles”, the first track in which Adami shares relevance
with Sparapano and Gaiaschi. References to the minimal tech house which has left so much trace in the
sound of Paradigma are found. However these references are seen from another point of view leading to
the progressive house, which these Italians used whenever they had the chance. Just to give a close example,
it is a sound sometimes similar to the one of another Paradigma name, Henry Saiz. Nice melodies and
rhythms focused on the dance floor but without any vulgarity.
Doobie signs on his own “Mantilla”. This track is not so much based on melody like the previous one but it
is really focused on the dance floor. However this time it is closer to tech house and to the minimal created
by some of his fellows, such as Luca Bachetti, just to mention the clearest reference. Elegance and rhythm
for a track fitting a session played either in the late morning or with the first sunshine.
So Paradigma keeps on betting on new names, on the emerging artists of the international scene. Luca
Doobi and The Electricalz are two good examples. But they will not be the last ones because you do not
know what is coming next in Paradigma...
