My thoughts exactly... he practised and learned, and now he is rocking it big time again... !clubfoot wrote:...and he scores! that youtube clip rocks. so it looks like richie has finally 'arrived' with his digital set-up. very dex&fx sounding.
i reckon you shouldn't bother too much with what he's using though. there's no shortage of sounds you could make your own.
Richie's darn setup
Richie Hawtin's live setup goes a little something like this:
2x Apple Macbook Pros
2x NI Audio 8 DJ
1x Lacie external hard drive
1x A&H Xone:92 Mixer
2x A&H Xone:1D MIDI controllers
1x Foot Pedal
and some VIZO Starlet UV Blue USB Cables
The Left laptop is running Ableton Live with 3 MIDI tracks open in Live mode. He has the Lexicon PSP 42 delay effect constantly open. He controls that with the left 1D and a foot pedal. The right one has Traktor 3.3 with four decks controlled by the right 1D. It has the master MIDI clock which it sends to the Ableton Mac via Ethernet.
