After two months without releases we are back with the long awaited [ouzo20], and thats... our twentienth release! To celebrate this wonderful event we bring you the official introduction of a new Ouzo artist: Anikana, a new sideproject by Z@p ( already well know for his live sets and many releases in Ouzo and other netlabels. Although his name may ring a bell ( his track "Nieblas" was included in [ouzo19] "Similitudes) it is with this hononimous EP that we can firmly trace his style... Deep techno with a delicate sound. Many layers that unfold simultaneously. Enveloping ambiences. Sounds gathered from many sources, and the warmth that you expect in any Ouzo release. These are some of the components which create the Anikana experience(*)."Pascuas" opens the album with a subtle introduction which leads into some deep syntethizer chords and a powerful clubber beat. "Te encontre" leans towards techo house with little stabs and housier rythms. "Suelto" is the misterious track in the album, with a suggestive synth/guitar and a nearly tribal beat. "Humano" closes the EP with a dark and sincopated beat which shows us the more experimental side of this artist. Well, thats it, enough with words, enjoy [ouzo20] and get ready for [ouzo21] and whats in store for 2008. Stay with us... we are going for the next 20.
