Where to stay in berlin...

I am looking for a cheap hostel, in a semi-safe neighborhood close to the clubs, even if its not safe, i just cant really afford exspensive nights there, as its in one stop of many through the country... can anyhelp?

anything in mitte, kreuzberg, or friedrichshain is clsoe enough, probably cheap enough, and safe. Others will chime in with their experiences, but there is a new place between berghain and the ostbahnhof. It is called Ostel, the DDR Hostel. Looks cheap and each room is designed straight out of east germany.

You are gonna start answering your own questions. I dont think there would be any hostels in dangerous areas - bad for business, right? Baxpax? No idea, but if any place is sh!t, you would probably hear about it by now.

This one is pretty alright, and within walking distance from Berghain

Most people say the circus hostel is good, but haven't stayed there

i stayed at heart of gold in mitte last summer and it was really nice. clean and new, individual bathrooms.
