vinyl storage

Post by peder »

following on from the "how does your bedroom or dj room look like?" thread, i wonder whether anyone would be kind enough to help me. i'm currently looking for a way to store my records neatly rather than the piles that sprawl across my room... i'm looking for something similar to this:

preferably so that i can put my decks on top of the units, and i can add units as and when i get more records...

i'm looking for something relatively chic and cheap (IKEA, etc).

thanks for all your help!

I'm thinking of getting one of these

A bit too low - 88 cm. but then I'll probably just pile the decks on something, or put bigger wheels on it. Don't know in which countries ILVA is available, at least I know they have it in Sweeden and UK as well

will that ikea stuff support the weight?

the bonde shelf sez 13 kg per shelf..

the load bearing capabilities of the expedit shelf is 13 kg as well.. have you guys had problems with them at all?

i have seen those ikea ones used before. no one seemed to have any problems with them. they look good and are cheap too. i wouldn't mind having one, or 8, myself. :D

think i might have to look into this then.. my partner & i checked them out before & i wasn't sure they'd take the weight.. sure beats having a load of crates laying around.
