Creating rolling basslines with reason?

Post by micronink »

Was wondering if anyone had any tips on creating rolling basslines in reason?
I am relatively new to reason.

Currently I've tried using the redrum with toms set with low lengths and attacks with pitch set low. Also I've tried using channel 6 & 7 alternating pitch bend with attack on both channels to try to "tie" the notes together. But i have been unsuccessful. Along with rewiring the subtractor to a redrum channel to trigger the redrum.. and last but not least i've tried using the subtractor and matrix writing out the notes on the matrix pattern sequencer

The sound I'm looking for something similar to http://audio.hitparade.ch/_-oxa_house_2 ... oller-.wma

The problem I'm having is tying the notes together so the bassline is smooth. I'm pretty sure i can achieve the effect I'm looking for with the above methods i've mentioned.. i just feel I'm missing one small thing in the equation.

Thanks for any help or info.
