ear plugs for attending or performing at loud shows

Post by skept »

anyone use earplugs at shows or when performing? i noticed some plugs in some show pics recently. i don't want to destroy my ears. my ears ring for 2 days after demf for example. i am looking at these at the moment because they are directed toward musicians and concert goers and they seem to be reasonably priced:

i have read some reviews but your feedback and experience is appreciated.

i searched for this topic and couldn't find it. please attack and let me know 10 fold if this is a repost [this is where the middle finger emoticon would go].

i bought some for 250$ and have no regrets. Don't be afraid to invest if you are serious, it's totally worth it.

Alot of artists I know who have earplugs won't go with something cheap mainly because they want it to last. Mine are quality, made custom to my ear imprint. It's great and I don't feel like taking them off when I listen to a great set... Get them, its worth it!

at a shop here in norway i think you got life-insurance on the quality of the earplugs. not if you lose them or stuff like that, but if they get "broken" by normal use (which i'd think shouldn't be possible hehe).

but def. worth the money! maybe you won't know it before it's too late, and believe me, when it's too late, you'd really wish you bought them when you had a chance..

this summer my doctor told me i've got tinitus, which really really, (and i can't repeat "really" enough times) sux! the two days of ringing you got in your ears after demf is nothing compared to have a constant ringing 24/7 week in - week out.

take good care of your ears while you can, there's no go back when you fck them up. and believe me, you don't want to do that ;)

did you see a specialist to get them? i'm not sure what an ear doctor is called. ahhh but the all knowing google tells me it's an otologist.

they usually take an imprint at the shop were they sell those, so just ask them. if they don't, just ask to see an ear/nose specialist (at least that's what they are called here in norway, and they can make an imprint you can take with you to the store with the earplugs)
