09.09.2006 Lofar Berlin Underground event!
This second edition of Berlin Underground at the NDSM ITW venue
will bring you yet another blended line-up of minimal techno and
soulful microhouse.
First off, the flagship of the tech-house label Perlon: Pantytec [live].
Perlon founder Zip [Dimbiman], together with partner Sammy Dee, have
released an album, numeral 12’s/remixes and appear on vast number of
compilations & mixes compiled by the likes of: Richie Hawtin, Akufen,
Magda, DJ Hell & Matthew Herbert. A live-showcase + dj-set of
elastic beats, grunts & spelches – stick your nose to the ground and gobble
up the house sound!
Respected French dj/producer Bern has built up impressive discography to
his name whilst spinning his eclectic dj-sets throughout the fertile house
community. Expect quirk-filled, minimally structured house productions,
and then some.
Dutch minimalist house producer David Labeij [live] is earning an inordinate
amount of attention these days, and you’ll find out exactly why a funky
hybridization of the various strains of house he has been exposed to,
adding a dollop of his own playful invention.
Finally, supple vibrant basslines, clipped vocal samples, and odd blips,
equally sleek, carnal and fun, will be mixed with fluid and grace by Lofar
inhouse dj Ramchez.
All mayor players, all working overtime – plenty to shake to!
