itunes and your digital music.

Post by provaznik »

how does one go about keeping the original bit rate/ highest possible quality bit rate possible when importing into itunes. i am on a mac and have been looking for something better than itunes because i don't like my .wav's or flac's being changed to mp3. anyone know any ways around this?

...Itunes > preferences > advanced > importing, you can change the file type to whatever you want. I always check this before I import as I'll switch between wav and hi and low bit rate mp3's. I hope this helps, if not tell me to shut it!!!

Peece,

i'd check out VLC for mac, good all-purpose media player...although it won't help you sort anything.

You mean updates them to the modern standard? You probably had ID3v1 or something.. now you can have more info and details assigned. Get with the times man! ;)

In my pre-mac days i had winamp, super program to listen mp3. I only used my tags in Serato Scratch Live so i edited them in SSL. Nowadays i use a macbook so no winamp anymore. If i use itunes, it fucks up all my taggs that i made in SSL
