monitors switch on / off

Post by kujoma »

Hi

the manual of my alesis mkII says it's recommend to switch them off if not needed. I need them all day (I use them as normal PC Speakers as well) so is there any danger if monitors are switched on nearly 24/7 (of course when I leave the house i turn them off)

my tutors taught us that it was ok to leave powered monitors on all the time, infact it was best to because the analogue circuitry would be kept at a constant heat preventing changes in tonal quality and frequency response as the system heats up
