You should avoid putting soundcard next PCI slot to video (which is in AGP or PCI-E, if u have newer pc). If that is the case, move the soundcard of try to shield it.
Also soundcards should not share IRQ channels with other cards (google for it, I can't remember the exact scheme).
All this is in case if u have PC ofcource .
If u have mac, I can't help.

Try disabling as much channels in your windows mixer in the recording options (make sure you enable all existing channels in the selector) as possible and see if that improves the situation.
If there are any stable alternate drivers for your creative card (apart from the kx ones) you could try installing those. For example, on my Dell Inspiron 8200 with AC97 chipset the dell audio drivers didn't let me access all devices, but left some active which caused the system to stream lots of noise. After installing generic AC97 drivers i could simply disable the overhead of channels so that the noise was gone.
I heard the same about creative drivers and cards.
However, it would be a good idea to hear your noise, could you post a snippet ?
Btw, IRQ problems are not related with noise.

i guess you have an onboard soundcard?sohrab wrote:yeah its creative.but is there any other solutions except using noise gates...?
typical noise problems with internal soundcards can be caused by harddisk, cooler or other parts. i sudgest you buy an external one to solve it. i need it badly also.
Drop the idea of becoming someone else, because you are already a masterpiece.
