Coming from United Kingdom, Paul Hughes is the head behind Intelligent Technology moniker. DJ and producer of a unique sound of House Music which has been developed through unexplored fusions of different genres, brings Paul music the right place to be highlighted and massively supported by some of the world’s most recognized record labels including Baroque records among others.
Intelligent Technology has a love affair with House Music since his very first visit to the Eclipse in Coventry in 1991, when he caught the music bug when genres hardly existed. He then frequented nights such as Shelley’s whose resident was an up and coming DJ called Sasha along with the famous Quadrant Park in Liverpool and the legendary Hacienda.
Later as time passed by and his ears found new DJ’s he visited nights such as Soak and L’America at the Corn Exchange in Leeds along with Back to Basics and Vague. All these nights, sounds, raves in the Woods and Goa Trance parties had started him thinking that he would like to create some sounds for people to listen to with an distinct element of his own journey embroiled within them.
Paul Hughes aka Intelligent Technology started off making Breaks and then moved into a more unique House sound which has been influenced over time by the likes of Sasha, Jimmy Van M, Damien Lazarus, Ame, Andy Weatherall, Gotan Project, KRS-One, LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Moby, Foals, Thievery Corporation, the chilled out sounds of Ibiza and to be honest too many sounds and styles to mention. He has now honed a style he believe is unique and a little different to what is currently around. Paul await for his unique edged sound to find new ears. Intelligent Technology is debuting on Progrezo Records with a 3 tracks jewel ep as Kabalarian is.
Opening with kind of sophistication, Intelligent Technology delivers an outstanding Minimal House piece as 80h8, aimed straight to any kind of modern dj set and classy room. Solid tech beats give the accurate dynamism to a solid piece that needs no much introduction. Stomped sub bass-lines join perfectly how the rhythm is produced, adding ace voice shoots and minimal textures to get a memorable track without doubt.
