I pre-ordered all three for $359 from JRRShop via their bundle. The individual boxes are $135.
For the bundle price, I can probably still sell the one(s) I don't want for $100 and lose out less than $20 each.
Korg Volca series
Re: Korg Volca series
thank youblizt wrote:They have midi and they also sync-in socket to sync them on their own.manzatour wrote:Sync:
Sync In (1/8? monaural mini jack, Maximum input level: 20V)
Sync Out (1/8? monaural mini jack, Maximum Output level: 5V)
does this mean that i will need a cv interface to use this devices in combination with ableton live?
or do they sync also via the midi in?
may i ask where you got this information?
in the specs it is stated that they sync via 1/8 mini jack
nothing else specified
they have only midi in
Re: Korg Volca series
Just youtube them. You can clearly see on the front panel a midi socket and a specific sync socket so you can sync the three boxes.manzatour wrote: thank you

what i want to do, is to sync them with my other hardware (so not via the specific sync socket)
in order to do that, i need to sync them via the midi in.
there is no midi out, so they should be able to sync via the midi in?
only as slave?
but, as far as i have read, it is not stated in the specs.
the "music toys" korg produced in the last times, like: kaossillator, monotron, monotribe etc
tend to have no midi sync possibilities
that's why i'm wondering what happens with the volcas...
Re: Korg Volca series
From the section commom features in the ttp://korg.com/volcaseriesThe MIDI IN connector lets you synchronize with other devices, as well as play the volca from any MIDI keyboard. You can also send note messages from your DAW and use the volca as an analog sound module.
thats your question?
Hope that helps
i cant wait to get mine, first drums, them bass
sadly here in Brazil they ill be pricey like all eletronic sh!t we need to import, but thats another topic... hehe
