Hi everyone!
This is my first post here
Can anyone upload this Operator Pack again? Dunno if it's still up but I can't get it from zshare.
Thank you so much! I've learnt a lot here and fell it was high time to join the forum!
Cheers...

[edit] wrong thread. duh moment.
Re: Would like to get those Techno Chords 'Detroit'
from Marc Houle's recent RA maschine love
"The DX100 is probably the synth most associated with Detroit other than the 303 I guess. It's got those Detroit stab sounds, and nice bass sounds, and the origin sounds are very Detroit sounding."
I'm not a Houle expert.. so I can't state if he is an "expert".

hope this helps..

Re: Would like to get those Techno Chords 'Detroit'
I know marc has owned a lot of different synths over the years, and think he still does have a crazy collection.
Hes probably pretty qualified to judge.
I know that various other yammy FM's are compatible with each other. I think the 4op patches work with an FB01 and these things go for £40.
Tbh, you should be able to get very similar sounds out of operator. the only difference would be the dark sound old keyboards have. although this can be replicated in software, its just not as instant.

Re: Would like to get those Techno Chords 'Detroit'
I have no way of comparing and don't necessarily care to.
but.
I have saved a preset rack in live which is redux with soft set to 1 (off?) and bit rate set to 14 as that is what I read the bit rate of the dx7 was. then I've got a dynamic tube with 50% dry/wet and I play with other controls slightly to taste. seems to give the warm quality people describe...
also don't forget about operators tone control.. as soon as you actually implement frequency modulation tweak it and you can hear a dramatic change.
try this operator patch I just made with subtle tweaks over time.. made on a D minor 7th progression..
broken link.. bad patch anyway :/
