Just bought it yesterday, pretty badass so far, still figuring out some of the routing differences between it and standard subtractive stuff.
Who's using it? What do you think??

Re: madrona labs aalto
after a couple weeks with this thing, Im in love. Its very much its own, unique soft synth. Tons of modulation, mixes fm and subtractive stuff, cool 2nd envelope, I'm sold....made 2 or 3 tracks with it already. Definitely sounds like Truncate is using it. Its well worth the 100 bucks
Re: madrona labs aalto
tbh,i'm 99% sure that TRUNCATE uses a real analog Modular System for most of his stuff
Re: madrona labs aalto
haha, not really worth fussing over, but:
just found this interview where he says does he uses aalto and he mostly software. That was random

wow...i was totally wrong i think ...but thanks for the interview...nice read....and that AALTO Synth seems to be very cool...just installed the demo
Re: madrona labs aalto
Been using this in demo mode, and really like it. Planning to buy it soon and then use it to its full capabilities!
Re: madrona labs aalto
tried it (demo) yesterday too because of this thread. really liked it although I have to get used to those big buttons (cutoff for instance). Two instances of it with some automation was about 30% cpu usage (macbook pro, core2duo 2,54, 4GB). UHE`s Ace with highest quality settings needs much more cpu on my notebook than the Aalto (just comparing in terms of cpu usage)
Maybe this will be my next purchase =)
