it sometimes seems like all my records are covered in dust.. even tho i'm already using those anti static sleeves, there is still dust on my records when i put them on my turns.. all my brushes just work for the moment and after some time it seems that they even make everything worse, cause they are covered in dust themselves and move the dust around..
i mean sometimes i'm lazy and i put the inner sleeve into the cover with both openings pointing in the same direction, do you think that's crucial?
how do you guys get rid of the dust?
getting rid of the dust..
Re: getting rid of the dust..
I have the same problem and it's mainly because I don't bother putting the inner sleave "the right way". It does make a big difference though, but I prefer to have quick access to the records. I just get rid of the dust using a microfibre cloth - haven't bothered getting special brushes etc..
It would probably be more efficient (and healthier for the records) to put the inner sleaves "the right way" than getting rid of dust each and every time you pull out a record, but...

Re:
I'm not trying to ba a smartass or anything but controlling the dust in the area surrounding your records seems to work the best.

^ from my [nevertheless, limited] experience, I second that.
I personally use a microfiber brush for dust and for old records I add a squirt of enzymes on them for deep cleaning the grooves.

I think these brushes are great:

You rub the brush against its plastic holder to get rid of the collected dust.
In my opinion the velvet style brushes are not too good.
