Stereo shaping

Post by clubfoot »

This is something I struggle with a little. I've taken to bouncing each track of a composition down to a L+R interleaved (effectively two WAVs) and panning the two as desired to give the mix some shape. Is that normal? Wondering if anyone can share some tips on this crucial aspect of any finished track. Thanks in advance.
