Suprised they havent been offered for free - they disbanded 20\30 years ago!
Do you think that in 20/30 years Drexciya's music should be free? Or Gangstarr's?
Good point. Although I doubt the profits Drexciya did over the years don't come close to what the Beattles did but that's not an excuse.

Oh for godsake... let's not get into the 786th thread about digital vs vinyl. Sooooooo fed up!

I was reading that the beatles still generate 10% of EMI's total income.
And have made over 1 billion record sales, wtf.

Their lyrics don't even mean anything! :D

After 24 hours, 5 albums are now in the top 20 in USA of itunes. So I guess many people were looking forward to this (of course these people are not 'real' fans because they buy them digital, but they still buy them :) )

EDIT:

if it wasn't for Beatles, EMI would be more than dead by now, even 30-40 years after the last album.

HELP! I NEED SOMEBODY,

HELP! YOU KNOW I NEED SOMEONE, HELP.

they've done some decent stuff but are overrated in my opinion

don't understand people who say they are the best band ever... we all know that accolade belongs to the stones ;)

they were the biggest band of the 60's, which was when pop music really got going.
