30 October 2010 sees the launch of one of the most exciting and ambitious chapters in the Leeds electronic music scene in the past 10 years. modern amusement launches for a party that will run into the small hours of Halloween, coincidence or somehow fitting?
Housed in the incredible converted warehouse space of Leeds’ newest venue, VOX, with it’s stripped brick walls and stylish yet raw custom finish, modern amusement offers a brand new dimension to Leeds’ nightlife. Located just on the outskirts of the city centre, VOX provides modern amusement with a venue that is accessible whilst just beyond the passing masses. A place for those who know.
As the line up of talent for the opening night suggests modern amusement is aimed at providing a new type of party! A place where the crowd are the focus; that is affordable yet uncompromising on its standards. A place firmly focused on creating an atmosphere of escape whilst ensuring that the quality of music remains of paramount focus. From the steely types of Berlin’s Berghain in the form of Rolando and Efdemin to the flamboyant Circoloco flavours provided Tanzmann and the Space terrace sound of Curly as well as the spectacular fresh talents KiNK and Kyle Hall modern amusement has arrived to provide exactly that…amusement for a new generation.
