After more than a year without any release in Ouzo, Z@p returns with a brand new EP. "Distractions" departs from the darker sound of his previous work, bringing us five new tracks which show his increasing tendency to include influences from dub, jazz and afro music into his productions.
On top of a rhytmic flow strongly based in techno and house, Z@p delivers layer upon layer of distincts timbres: synths and synthetic percussion in "Puerto Cabello", electric pianos in "Distractions" and even the trumpet of guest musician Alfredo Acuña in "Moonlight"...
These are just some examples of the varied nature of this release, and it is because of this variety that "Distractions" sits comfortably in the club or at home. As a bonus you get the amazing cover art, by uruguayan visual artist Maria Agustina Fernandez Raggio.
