In the spirit of ‘Piekup Events’, known for their infamous "Linke Soep" parties held in Amsterdam hottest underground venue Studio 80, Piekup Records wants to release music that "has the soul and spirit of their parties."
Besides asking artists who have already played for Piekup, Piekup Records will also offer a platform for young and upcoming producers.
Artists like Ben Anders, Chris Lattner, Carlos Sanchez, Efdé, Flowing, Jamy Wing, Lauhaus, Mathias Mesteno, Marco Resmann, Marcus Gehring, Men in Trees, and Superlounge will release own productions and / or remixes on the new label in 2010.
Piekup Records' first EP is a clever groover by ambitious producer & DJ Chris Lattner, called "Need More Time", and will be released on vinyl in February 2010 with a very groooovin remix by Carlos Sanchez & Dj Ray.
