All this winter listening—ambient and the like—has me wishing I could take a trip north to see one of these atmospheric happenings.
Is there anyone here who has witnessed an aurora? Are they indeed as wonderful as they appear in photos?
Aurora Borealis
something I would love to see one day. I guess the scandinavian members here are pretty bored with them already

I have never seen one sadly. Not very common here in Stockholm as it it further up north. But i know it was a big one a few years ago that accutally could be seen in the whole of europe..PsyTox wrote:something I would love to see one day. Basically, the further up north you get, the bigger the chances are. I spend most of the summers in the north of sweden and have never seen one, sadly.Kiani wrote:if you go to finland, what are the chances of seeing it. i mean, I'm gonna go there probably this summer, so is it something that happens a lot, like a few times per month, or is it really rare? and more in summer than winter?or the opposite?
