really nice synths and atmo but the drums aren't well mixed

Thanks, yes i agree... i find it quite hard to mix drums well. Have you any advice on this?

overall i'd say this just needs some eq work. especially on the bass end of things. get a spectrum analyzer and a quality eq plug-in and go to town. Also the high hats are too loud i think. But other than just aesthetic nick picking good stuff man!

I dont have an analyser.
I have the Sonalksis EQ.
I plan to work on this on the weekend though.

just try to lowcut the pads a bit more.
don't forget to layer your drums a bit
try to mix the pads around your drums instead of mixing the drums around your pads.
sidechaining and proper eqing is the trick for u i think
