I don't get it. Whats the point. Why would any one want to know what someone random person is doing/thinking about at any given moment?

why not? its just another way of keeping in touch, and you can have a bit of banter on there...i prefer it to facebook. simpler = better!!!

The idea is similar to a blog. Its often said that Twitter is micro-blogging. A lot of people were wondering what was the use of blogging a few years ago and not it's just another similar communication tool.

If you're following the right people, you'll get a cool collection of news, links, infos, etc. But at the moment, I prefer Facebook alone.

tweet? tweeting? why not twit or twittering...to twit makes sense. it should not be and irregular verb. just a thought.
