with rv i mean reasons reverb. you know the sends on redrum and remix modules? connect it there so you can add reverb to sounds.
reverb a clavi to see instant benefit.

didnt you say you use r4? why STEP DOWN to reason3? makes nooo sense.
from your indecision, i guess you use a "try before buy"-version,
so trybeforeyoubuy some other daws.
get into designing "glitch sounds", modulate! .and then learn to make beats.
i say make beats, and by that i mean crafting from sinewaves.
you can do it in reason, but i guess its a little bit harder than doing it in live. beatrepeat and graindelay n stuff.

other than that, get a sample cd and be one more in the crowd of uncreative people.

(dont feel attacked here, i just dont see people who use sample cd sounds
and compress and eq them a bit on the same level as
sample manipulation or synthesis enthusiasts actually knowing what they do to get their sound.
the latter two actually tend to have their own sound isntead of the sound of sample cd x.)
