With an already busy 2008, Sierra Sam and Marcus Vector continue their momentum into this fall. In addition to his solo EPs and co-productions with Bloody Mary, Sam has maintained a residency in Berlin’s Tresor. Marcus has released an EP with Lust Addict and is also a skillful DJ recently making a name for himself outside his home country. Having just released the Jump Rope EP on Contexterrior, and having just shared the stage with Efdemin and Pantha du Prince at this year’s NAME Festival in France,
Sierra-Vector Enterprises Inc. follows up with the Slab City EP. The title track is a mellow sci-fi Sunday drive flavored with some tribal elements. “Parole” picks up the pace with a slamming electro pulse and hiccupping bounce. The flipside belongs to Marco Resmann, formerly of Pan-Pot and the owner of Upon.You. His snappy rework of “Parole” sets itself apart with a unique underwater vibe, both tension-filled and rewarding like a search for sunken treasure.
