A little boy. Not eating ice cream. Not playing. He likes to stay still. He spies on people.
As he watches closer, he thinks of random words he doesn’t even understand. Thinks empty shells, unnecessary actions, wild animals, insecurity, confusion, ingenuity, cruelty, competition, stupidity and even a little love.
He stands up from his hiding place and finally goes to buy an ice cream, and crosses a mirror left on a sidewalk. Notices something new, something clear, hidden in his reflection.
Can you see beauty in a white hair on an eleven year old?
Stares at it for a while with a big proud smile.
...and forgets about the ice cream.
