I'm in the opposite camp here. I really like the track after about 3:00. The intro is a bit sparse for my tastes... the sounds are really dry and sound a bit naked without the atmosphere. Were I to play this (and I think that it is playable), I would start the track at around 1:00 or 2:00 in. It could probably use one more element in fact, say a sweet analogish hit (like a filtered saw-tooth) on a dub-delay or something. I would recommend that you add just a bit of reverb on the drums (like -20db or less), shorten the intro or add some evolving element and then one more element to the latter part to build some tension and you've got a winner.
