just use your common sense

Derrick is one of these cats who talks too much crap, always has.
I'm sure he has some good intentions, but his personality catches up on him.
It's not new... I've seen plenty of people going from being friendly chaps to arrogant and abrasive assholes because they became (or think they became) successful.

perhaps its how in fact they've road the (yesteryear) for so long..

by keeping their ego's on full speed... how else you going to ride in the current day... from something you did 20 years ago..

to be even (more) specific....in fact...my old roommate thomas barnett paid to have nude photo pressed and also made parts of the bass line which in fact derrick cut him out of 10's of 1000's of $$ and even cut him out of many pressings... even went as far as taking his name off some presses of the record completely... not even a credit..

the record that made him famous ...he didn't even do and he tried to steal the rights from my boy...

now thats comical..

if i remember correctly he also worked with blake baxter, without giving him credit to what he did
they even ended up in a fist fight from what i've heard
would have liked to see that!
