Like probably lots of people at mnml.nl, I've been making music since long before VST's and back in the days you needed one synth per sound. If you needed four reverbs in a track, you had to use four hardware reverbs.
But I do understand what you mean, vviizzoonn. It's so much better to actually know ONE synth rather that just buy lots of stuff. Especially nowadays when I'm able to make a bass line on the Moog, record it in Ableton and then use the Moog for some percussion too or whatever.

I have to confess that I still haven't really learned how to master the Evolver for instance. Also, it can get kind of stressful to sit in a room full of gear, it sometimes takes lots of focus from actually making music.
I have a lot of friends that have ten, twenty or even thirty vintage synthesizers and pretty much none of them are doing any tracks...

foooock! some rly serious gear there...
That's a nice collection of gear.
But can you trust your monitors, when they're stuffed away like that?
I have similar Genelecs (8030, right?), and I had to place them on stands in free air before I could even start to make sense of what they told me.

I have the monitors on stands nowadays. When I shot the picture, I've just been replacing my Snake monitors (http://www.snakespeakers.com) with the 8030. I use them both though.

Nice one!

I guess I owe a picture of my studio now:

It's a little messy. But that's a uc33 next to the mixer (under the phones). And they're both sitting on top of a Jomox Airbase99.
Behind the cables on the low shelf are an array of hard drives for back up. I'm paranoid!
The old 12" g4 to the right is running Serato. (The ancient g4 to the left is doing absolutely nothing!)

Drake44444 -- how do you like the Zero4 mixer? How do the efx sound?

And to stay on topic, here's my mini-studio while I was living in France:
