Friday the 5th of October, Electronation presents the next edition of Satellite 31 at the Egg in London. After two very successful editions with artists like Alexander Robotnick, Freeform Five, Mount Sims, Steve Rachmad, Bart Skills, Terry Toner and Lauhaus we are back with the third edition.

For this one, we have the very respectable artists Marco Passarani (IT) and Mario Pierro (Raiders of the lost Arp, IT, Live), Jamie McHugh (DJ, Brique Rouge), Dj Taras (NL) and Terry Toner (NL). While the D-Late organization will host the upper room with their resident RichNxt and Transparent Soundsystem (Live).

Marco Passarani is the label boss behind the highly revered 'Nature Records', 'Pigna' and any Finalfrontier related record labels. Marco Passarani has played a pivotal role in the italian techno scene since the early days, djing, promoting and running his Finalfrontier pioneering distribution and production company. His sound has always been very emotional and dynamic, throwing in washes of any form of electronic dance music into a unique style that ranges from peak time dancefloor to introspective electronica. In his DJ sets Passarani spins classic techno into twisted italo-disco, electro, house and funked-up electronix in a fluid and contained groove, and lately he's adding even more personal touch through newer technologies (such as Serato Scratch) playing a lot of unreleased tracks, beats and edits. Together with Mario Pierro and Francesco, he hosts a regular radio show on the RedBullMusicAcademy Radio called “Dimensione Jack”, where he delivers his take on dance music, ranging from techno to italo disco, through chicago-house and moody sonorizations.

Raiders of the Lost Arp is Mario Pierro (known as one half of Mat101 and Jollymusic) solo project. When you talk about Mario's solo projects, it's impossible not to notice his love for soul, funk and jazz: that's exactly the flavour you get in Mario's electro-techno. In fact if you try to describe his music you have to imagine a quite and relaxed electro-techno beats mixed up with some strings where the chords are typically jazzy and soulful, and the bassline is clearly p-funk inspired. That's why the name of most of his releases is "Funk series" like the one out on Pigna and Plasmek. Right after the release of his first solo album, quoted by many magazines in the UK (such as Jockey Slut, NME, Dj Mag etc), in Germany (DE:Bug, Groove etc), there are many fans of his sound that has been often defined as night drive techno music.

Jamie McHugh's tracks and remixes are finding favour with the worlds best DJs. He has featured on Pete Tong's Essential Selection, The Essential Mix and the Trophy Twins After Show on BBC Radio 1 whilst receiving continued support from the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Darren Emerson, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, The MYNC Project, Nic Fanciulli and James Zabiela. Jamie has played alongside everyone from DJ Hyper to Rui Da Silva, from Nick Warren to Seamus Haji.

"Dont ask to define my style" quips Jamie; "I play everything from deep house to techno, tech house to twisted breaks and everything in between. I like to start off nice and slow and build a mood teasing effects and acapellas into the groove before picking up the pace. I try to use every bit of technology available when playing out, scratching, efx, acapellas and live loops fill my sets".

Born in the suburbs of Rotterdam (Netherlands) Taras van de Voorde walked alot of musical roads. From singing in old peolpe homes to classic organlessons and playing trumpet but deep inside Taras knew that this wasn’t his love.. Around 1994 he went to his first rave and Taras was born again but now with an aim, loving the electronic music and to entertain people! After two years of hardcore music Taras changed his musical direction into what it is now: Deepgroovyprogressivetechhousefunk.
Not too hard, not too mellow, but quality music with a firm uplifting energetic drive. Playing in a lot of well known dutch clubs he shared nights with artists like Kevin Saunderson, Jack de Marseille, Michel de Heij, Joris Voorn, 2000 and One, Secret Cinema, Petter, Nathan Fake, Alex Under ect. In 2006 Taras was nominated as best upcoming dutch dj talent in The Netherlands for the well known “ Gouden Kabouter Awards” at the Paradiso in Amsterdam.

Terry Toner is a young and energetic DJ, producer and remixer – at the moment one of the main underground house talents in the Dutch electronic music scene. In spite of his young age he accomplished a lot and dj-ed alongside alltime heroes like; Jeff Mills, Fat Boy Slim, Sander Kleinenberg, Tiefschwarz, Tiga, Plump Dj’s, Dave Clarke and a lot more. Through ElectroNation, Terry has gained lots of respect and developed his style to what it is today. His sound flows through all levels of house, laced with jackin’ grooves, tech-styled beats and electroflavoured synths. This combined with his love for oldskool acid gives him his energetic and uplifting sound.

The D-Late guys are dedicated party machines, within the minimal/electro/tek/house scene. Currently residing in east end,London, their backgrounds are melanged btw Italy, Manchester, London, Barcelona, ibiza...They produce their own regular parties in places such as Ditch and Aquarium club and also co-produced with most prominent local promoters and are always happy to do moooore!

RichNxT is their resident DJ and will be backed up by a live performance by Transparent Soundsystem.
