i think you should make music by feeling not by technics, this making with feeling makes you a artist i think. Making music has been a pure art for 1000
of years now, from the religeous beating of wood in the stone age straight to the music we make today. The feeling have been the same al those 1000 of years and the people who make the music have always been regarded as artists.
the non-artistic producer is the one who don`t have any involvement in the composing or sounddesign of a song. a producer who doesn`t perform of write the music, but has some involvement in the making of the song, (soundwise, sound design, sample making or in some other kind) can still be a artist in my eyes because he contributes something to the whole picture of the song.
