i'm in the same position as you. looking at projectmix for about 6 months, not sure if i should buy it or not.

have heard different reviews. most where very postiv, but also some negativ ones.

an alternativ is the digidesign digi 002. but i favor the m-audio unit at the moment.

as some of the others already stated: start with reason. study the manual. and try to get that video tutorial for it. it really helps you and shows how a track is created from A to Z. then get the book "powertool for reason" and work throught. after that you will have in deepth knowledge o...
